Trauma is defined as a deeply distressing or disturbing experience. It can be an injury that is physical, emotional, or psychological and can be all three together. Trauma is unique to the individual. In the medical profession, we commonly see trauma in the patients who come to see us, but what about the professionals who care for them? Here we are taking the time to look at trauma through a nurse’s eye, listen to their stories and perspectives on how it affects them in their journey personally and professionally. This session will be moderated by Marianne Huff, LMSW, President & CEO of the Mental Health Association in Michigan.
