Mandy’s unique expertise will further strengthen the firm’s effective advocacy strategy for our clients in this challenging environment. She is an extraordinary leader, respected by her peers from both political parties and possesses an impressive public policy background. In addition, she most recently has effectively lead a bipartisan board of 19 members in one of Michigan’s largest county governments and provided counsel and strategy to the leadership of Spectrum Health
In addition to her roles at the county and Spectrum, Bolter’s career has included serving as legislative staff for five state legislators and has served on the Grand Rapids Downtown GRI Advisory Board, the Grand Valley Metro Council, co-chair of the Housing Stability Alliance and currently serves on the Kent County Convention and Arena Authority Board. She is also a past fellow of the Michigan Political Leadership Program.
“I am deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Mandy, both during my time as Mayor and prior to that when she worked in Lansing. She is an authentic leader who is honest, leads with integrity and has a heart for service,” said Rosalyn Bliss, Mayor of Grand Rapids. “Our community is a better place because of her leadership and hard work,” said Bliss.
“I have been fortunate to have worked with Mandy for the past 12 years and have witnessed her strong work ethic, unquestionable integrity, compassionate drive and ability to build strong relationships,” said Pete MacGregor, former Michigan Senate Majority Floor Leader and current Kent County Treasurer. “Mandy is respected by people of all party affiliations and is an invaluable strategic partner, problem solver and advocate,” said MacGregor.
Mandy graduated from high school in Bronson, Michigan and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Western Michigan University. She resides in Cascade Township with her husband of 19 years, Alan, their two sons, Hayden and Hudson, and their rescue pets Maddie, Layla, Buddy and Teddy. Her personal ethics, wealth of knowledge, extensive and diverse background in multiple issue areas, and her strategic and analytical skills will be a tremendous addition to our firm.
We hope you will join us in welcoming Mandy and her family to the MHSA Team!
